Visit and tasting Tuesdays and Thursdays • Groups welcome by appointment • Harvest day in September Our history 40 years ago ... Jean-Claude Benassy takes over the vines from his parents, and devotes himself to the production of bottled wine, while the majority of the surrounding vines are intended for Cognac and Pineau des Charentes. As a pioneer, he has a major place in the creation of Charentais wines. As a wine lover, he chooses direct sales to share his passion with his customers. Today Ophélie and Florian Benassy inherited their father's passion for the vine and its nectar, wine. Since 2017, they continue the adventure that Jean-Claude started, and then become a new generation of winemakers. Our engagements It all starts from the vine The passion that drives us takes root in our taste for the work of a winemaker, with respect for nature and the culture of the vine throughout the seasons. As independent winegrowers, we want to master the entire wine cycle, from the vineyard to the distribution, including the cellar and the winemaking. This allows us to take the necessary care in the development of our cuvées Our vine culture Our passion for the vine translates into viticulture that respects the environment and people. This leads to a reasoned application of vine care products and a commitment to environmental certifications. We practice short pruning in order to control yields and obtain healthy and good quality grapes. The sandy soil with deep doucins surrounding our estate offers us frank and generous wines. The wide variety of grape varieties in the Estate guarantees us to obtain a wide aromatic palette for our wines. Our expertise Our cellar work is dictated by respect for the fruit of the vine, to get the best quality. Soft pressing, control of fermentation temperatures, aging on the lees ... The mastery of winemaking techniques as well as the assistance of a consultant oenologist allow us to offer you wines of character: ours!
